Events are a great way to network with like minded people and gain brand exposure for your business. Some events are paid or free entry and as a business it can be overwhelming to find out how many exhibitions, events, meetings, award ceremonies etc... there actually are for you industry.


Research may have to be undertaken to ensure you attend the right event. Speak to event organisers and  research if your competitors are attending or have a look at previous years reports and find out if it's supported by governing bodies. If unsure, it's always a good idea to attend as a visitor and get first hand experience of the event. 

Most trade events have an entry level fee of approximately $2-3k for space and can go as high as $30-50k when sponsoring or taking more floor space. Add to that the cost of shipping products or props, the number of people manning the stand as well as any giveaways or competitions you may run on your stand. The cost can quickly build. It is for this reason your business must have a clear goal from the event and align measurable KPI's to ensure a successful event experience.
